Gone!

T'was the night before Christmas...and my freakin' laptop died a wheely death.

I was able to get to the "Genius" bar at Apple yesterday only to be told they're refurbish my laptop for free (which I'm taking to mean that this sudden death happens a lot with this particular generation of Macbook) but essentially the disk won't mount and all data is not up for recovery.

I'VE LOST EVERYTHING.

I was crying in the Apple shop. Not a tantrum - just really really REALLY sad that the last 3 years of photography (holidays / gigs / randoms / Coco's puppydom), music that I couldn't fit onto my iPod, my beloved shows, and all my miscellaneous links on Firefox - pfft! All gone!

OH MY GOD I JUST REALISED ALL MY DS GAMES ARE GONE TOOOOOO.

*sob*

I'm not entirely sure how big a tetrabyte is but I'm very much interested in the 2TB storage drives that Amazon has if it means I don't have to shed any more geek-tears in public again.

E.T.A. KS pointed out to me last night that I must have Zelda on my mind as it's actually a TERAbyte, not tetrabyte...hehe...
